Profile

I am pursuing an internship to combine my passion for themed entertainment with my education in industrial engineering and supply chain management. I bring proven leadership as President of TEA @ NC State, hands-on operational experience from Busch Gardens, and cross-functional project management from my IAAPA Safety and Public Affairs internship. I am eager to continue developing my skills in operations, analytics, and safety while contributing a meaningful impact to the industry.

 

Experience

Themed Entertainment Association @ NC State – President –Raleigh, NC 04/2024 – Current

  • Optimized club operations and outreach, increasing efficiency of communication channels and growing engagement by 200+ Instagram followers, 86+ email subscribers, and 25+ meeting participants.

  • Secured and allocated $611 in funding to successfully plan and execute the club’s first IAAPA EXPO trip, ensuring cost-effective budgeting and maximum student impact.

  • Designed and launched structured programming (Design Project, Professional Presentation series), applying project management principles to engage students in hands-on, team-based learning.

  • Streamlined logistics for a 21-student trip to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, coordinating transportation, ticketing, and accommodations to deliver a smooth, large-scale group experience.

 

IAAPA – Safety & Public Affairs Intern Orlando, Fl • 06/2025 – 08/2025

  • Compiled legislator and facility data, enhanced the functionality and navigation of IAAPA’s advocacy website, modernized regulatory reference documents, and verified state regulator database for accuracy and completeness.

  • Analyzed and compared state regulations against IAAPA safety guidelines, reviewed historical datasets to identify regulatory trends, and developed clear visual reports to communicate key findings.

  • Reviewed and categorized industry resources, designed navigation flows for an online platform, and created a standard operating procedure to streamline future content management.

  • Mapped and compared terminology across EN, ISO, and ASTM F24 standards for amusement rides and devices to identify alignment, inconsistencies, and gaps. Analysis provided to standards harmonization task force.

  • Compiled all internship projects into a final report and presented key findings and deliverables to IAAPA executives.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg – Ride Operations Intern Williamsburg, VA • 05/2024 – 08/2024

  • Supervised daily operations for a 10–15 member team, optimizing scheduling and workflows to ensure safe, efficient ride performance and high guest satisfaction.

  • Trained and certified 15+ operators with a 100% success rate, while conducting 20+ compliance audits to strengthen safety, minimize risk, and standardize procedures.

  • Identified a park improvement opportunity through a capstone project, developing a strategy that enhanced visual aspects and elevated the overall guest experience.
