PROJECTS

Creative

The section below shows the creative side that I like to pursue. Theme parks are always something I have enjoyed and getting to do these projects to express my creative and imaginative side is something I will always continue to do. This section will never be complete as projects will be added as they get completed.

Fourth of July Firework & Light Show

For this project, I applied Industrial Engineering methodologies to design and execute a fully synchronized, 15-minute lighting and pyrotechnic display. Treating the backyard footprint as a live field-integration site, I mapped out a spatial layout for 32 distinct DMX fixtures—including fixed pars, moving heads, and a laser—while establishing strict safety clearance zones. Using SoundSwitch to program the lighting rig against a master soundtrack, I managed resource constraints by segmenting the timeline into precise operational windows to drive inventory sourcing. To optimize costs and eliminate destructive testing, I conducted a digital time study using video demonstrations of each firework SKU to map burn durations and fuse-to-burst mechanical latencies within an Excel sequencing model. For risk mitigation, I engineered a localized, labeled remote electronic firing system to remove personnel from the launch field while ensuring 100% compliance with North Carolina non-aerial pyrotechnic laws. The successful deployment demonstrated how layout design, time studies, and safety automation directly drive system execution in entertainment engineering.

Disclaimer: This project is a non-commercial, personal educational exercise created strictly for entertainment automation skill-building. Music and soundtrack assets are the property of The Walt Disney Company.
